Free ASE Practice Tests

Welcome to Study ASE for Free. Nine subjects, A1 through G1, four tests in each, and the first two in every subject are free — no account, no email, no card. Take one and find out where you stand in the next half hour. Then here is what the other two give you, because most technicians who fail an ASE test fail it twice, and it is almost never because they are bad techs — it is because nobody ever told them why they missed what they missed. Premium does not hand you a percentage. It hands you a diagnosis:

Which content areas are costing you points Not “engines.” General Engine Diagnosis versus Lubrication and Cooling versus Engine Block. You go study the one system that is actually bleeding instead of all five.
Which question formats are costing you points This is the one that changes outcomes. Miss four EXCEPT questions across four different systems and you do not have a knowledge problem at all — you have a reading problem, and no amount of studying brakes will fix it. That single blind spot is the most common reason good technicians fail.
The official ASE task number for every miss Straight off the 2026 task list. A wrong answer stops being “go review cooling systems” and becomes one specific line you can look up tonight.
Drill My Misses Re-run only the questions you got wrong, on a 15-minute clock. Nothing you already know. It is the fastest study session you will ever have.
Pace flags Right but slow means you will run out of clock on the real thing even though you know the material. Fast but wrong means you are answering the question you expected instead of the one in front of you. Both are fixable the moment you can see them.
A real 30-minute timer Because exam pressure is a skill of its own, and the testing center is a terrible place to practice it.

$3.99 a subject. All nine for $24.99 — less than one printed study guide, and that guide cannot tell you a single thing about how you take a test. Take the free ones first. If you are clearing 70 percent comfortably, you are ready for the part that gets you over the line.
